It’s No Longer The “Least Snowiest” Winter on Record!

The very dismal winter season across the Mississippi Valley is snow-covered and less dismal for snow lovers this Friday morning.

As of yesterday, this was still the least snowiest winter in the Quad Cities and those snow records go back to 1850!

That all changed last evening and overnight as 3.1″ of snow fell in Moline, Illinois. This brings our winter total to 12.9″. This now qualifies as the fourth least snowiest winter on record, but any more snow today and this winter will change that.

The heaviest snow total was 7.5″ in Dubuque, Iowa.

Happy snowman making today! This snow is very wet and will make perfect snowballs and snow people! Since Miss ABBA is looking down upon us and the snow, I really don’t have to get out in it if I don’t want to, so I’ll just admire the beauty of the snow out the windows into the ravine.
