Rush Limbaugh = Hypocrite

I’ve thought a lot and blogged about Kirk Cameron’s anti-gay comments and the “Super Tuesday” race between the Republicans this week and earlier today, I honored, in my blog, a man that I truly admire, former President Jimmy Carter.

I have to admit that I usually choose women as role models:  Reba McEntire, Hillary Clinton, Martha Layne Collins, Madonna, Lady Gaga, Helen Reddy, and Laura Bush.  (Okay, for those of you that are stumped and saying, “Who is Martha Layne Collins?”  She was the first candidate that I campaigned for back in Kentucky as an 18-year-old getting ready to go off to college.  In 1983, Collins won those two elections and became the first, and only, woman governor in the “Bluegrass State”.

And, since I find that I admire so many women, I want to stand up for my sisters even though they are strong and invincible.

Former drug addict and full-time idiot Rush Limbaugh recently caused an uproar and lost sponsors over this tirade of stupidity, “What does it say about the college co-ed “Susan” Fluke, who goes before a congressional committee and essentially says that she must be paid to have sex? What does that make her? It makes her a slut, right? Makes her a prostitute.”

Seriously, just because someone disagrees with your views and they’re a woman, that makes them a “slut” or “prostitute”?  If that’s true, there are many out there and I’d be happy to call them my friend.

If you missed that story, I put the video at the bottom of this blog entry.  However, that’s not totally why I’m bashing the slob today.  (Yes, I’m name calling.)

Limbaugh, who is on his fourth marriage, last month made these comments, “Did you see that the poster couple for gay marriage in California are getting a divorce? You see that? It’s true.  It’s two women, they were among the first 14 same-sex couples who got married on the day the ban was lifted in California back in June of 2008. I guess the national average, three-and-a-half years, is what their marriage lasted, maybe it’s the California average. I’m not sure.”

What a f*cking hypocrite!!  Did he forget that his first marriage lasted less than three years.  Luckily, for him, his next three dragged on longer to bring up his marriage longevity average.

What Limbaugh leaves out of his story is the fact that Robin Tyler and Diane Olson were a couple for 18 years before they got married.  Do the math, Rush.  They were together 21 years and if things weren’t so backwards in this country with marriage equality on a national level, that statistic might have been 21 years.  See if you make it that long in a marriage.

The nice thing is that most gays and lesbians have a sense of humor.

Tyler responded to Limbaugh with this, “Rush Limbaugh is two or three divorces ahead of me.  He is the kind of guy who thinks women are sluts and lesbians have penis envy. Well, I don’t have penis envy. I have 12 at home in a drawer in Northridge. I get excited in New York and my drawer pops open in California!”  “I will give him one thing.  I believe that Rush Limbaugh is great for birth control. I mean, who the hell would want to sleep with him.”

Rock on, sister!

Here’s the story about Rush calling Sandra Fluke inexcusable names:
