To Be Or Not To Be “Swingers”!

I’m a very open-minded person and I would not consider myself a conservative in any matter, except maybe financially.  This isn’t about politics, so keep reading.  It’s about my birthday bash in Las Vegas and a swingers convention!!

As you may recall in January, I blogged about winning a weekend stay at a all-male resort at the “Red Ribbon Dinner” fundraiser, so we made our reservations in February to go there and see Madonna for my birthday in October.

Well, I guess most people don’t book their rooms eight months in advance like I do.

Last week, I got an email from the owner wanting to let me know that we were welcome to stay there, but “I just wanted to give you heads up, that a swingers group (men and women) have bought out the hotel the weekend of your booking.”

At that point, we had to talk it over and decide if we wanted to keep our reservations and do our own thing in Vegas and let the swingers do their own thing around us.  I was really looking forward to the beautiful resort and pool.

So, after talking it over, we decided to ask if it was going to be a small or large group of swingers and the reply was “200” and that we be the only non-swingers there!!!

At that point, our decision was made.  We’d stay on the Strip where the action is and let the other “action” take place at the resort.  This now gives us another reason to visit Vegas again, since our certificate’s expiration date was extended one year.

However, in the decision-making process, I told Ray that we could play a game at the clothing-optional pool, “real or fake”.  He didn’t go for that!

So, now we’re deciding where we want to stay in October.  While I know it may or may not be the best hotel in Las Vegas for the money, after seeing “Midnight in Paris”, I’m thinking Paris Las Vegas would be exciting.

And, in honor of the hot action that will be taking place at the resort without us being voyeurs and since we’re going to be seeing Madonna on my birthday, I dedicate “Erotica”.

We stayed at The Hooters Casino a few years ago. It was more reasonable financially. We spent 98% of our time wondering the other places. Wasn’t a bad place to stay since we were only “sleeping” there and we got to enjoy the other places without the expense of staying there. At that time the pool area was nice and they had fire pits burnng at night. It is across the street(not the strip, a side street) from MGM. I think NY NY is diagonally across from it .

  5. Just stay there anyway! Swinging is great fun and this could be a great chance for you both to try it out. What happens on vacation stays on vacation. You could at least watch and see what goes down and enjoy the clothing optional pool. Or just stay at the Flamingo Hotel on the strip where we have stayed which is quite nice. But have a look at swinglifestyles.net for an open look at the swinging lifestyle.
