However, it’s my Friday! I’m heading back home to my neck of the woods of Kentucky and Tennessee through the weekend just in time for an ICE STORM!
Yes, it’s expected to be 70° Wednesday in Nashville, Tennessee, and now there is the threat of two ice storms this weekend — one Friday night and the other Saturday night into Sunday.
On top of that, and part of the problem, is 3-6″ of rain that’s expected to fall across the Mid-South. This really sounds like fun vacation weather!
I hope Ray knows how to drive on about one-half inch of ice!!!!!!
Back home in the Quad Cities, our 50-degree-plus weather Wednesday will give way to very cold temperatures through next week.
Highs Friday and Saturday will barely make 20° and lows will be in the single digits.
Now, let’s really add some winter weather to that. By Sunday, moisture coming up from the South will interact with the cold air and produce a light snow event for Illinois and eastern Iowa.
While it’s still four days out, there is an increasing chance that we’ll see a few inches of snow.
With it being four days out, that’s all I’ll say this Wednesday because it could change.
While I’m away, I’ll keep up on the weather in Nashville and for the Quad Cities and give you an update.
Have a great rest of the week!
