What a winter and the hits just keep coming!
A “Winter Storm Warning” and a “Winter Weather Advisory” are in effect today until 6 p.m.
This snow is going to come down fast and furious once it starts. It’ll be done by later this afternoon.
Here are the snowfall projections for today.
The good news is that milder weather is expected tomorrow through Thursday with highs in the 30s and 40s.
A decent rain maker arrives Wednesday night and Thursday with, at least, one-half of rain expected.
Let’s put this winter into perspective. Even before today’s snow, this is already the 10th snowiest winter on record in the Quad Cities.
For February, with 15.9″, this is also the 10th snowiest February on record.
The record for February in the Quad Cities is 20.7″!
And, while we’re at 48.4″ of snow this winter before today’s snow, this time last winter we were only at 10.7″! That’s incredible.
Be safe out there today.
