Late Season Winter Storm Tonight & Early Wednesday

We enjoyed one nice warm day and now it’s back to winter!

After hitting 58° in the Quad Cities Monday, we’ll see another mild day today (48°)  before winter takes over tonight and Wednesday.

Light rain will develop by this evening and change over to wind-blown snow tonight and early Wednesday.

A “Winter Weather Advisory” goes into effect tonight south and east of the Quad Cities.

If you’re traveling toward Chicago, it’s a “Winter Storm Warning”.  Snowfall amounts there could reach 6-10″!

Here’s how much snow I’m expecting locally tonight and early Wednesday.

Snow Totals

We still need 7.5″ of snow to tie the all-time record for most snow in a winter season in the Quad Cities.

If you’re tired of the snow, 40s return Thursday and 50s are back for Friday.
