Election Day Weather Extremes

A cold front moving through the Mississippi and Illinois River Valleys today will bring some light showers or sprinkles this morning.

Sunshine quickly returns later this morning and for the rest of Election Day 2016.

High temperatures will reach around 60°, which is above average for this time of the year.

The warmest presidential Election Day in the Quad Cities was 76° back in 1916 and 1964.  However, in 1892, the high was 31°.

77% of presidential election days had no measurable rain and snow is even more scarce.

98.4% of presidential election days have had no measurable snow.
